TRAIL REPORT

Western U P Snowmobile Trail Report  3/9/2022

Grooming is ongoing with all three clubs.  Temps through Sunday will be in the 20’s and single digits to below zero at night.  Next week our temps start to warm up so grooming will be weather permitting.

This weekend looks like a great weekend to come up and ride.

Be safe!!!

Please stay on marked trails riding on unmarked trails can result in the clubs losing easement for that trail.

Gogebic Range Trail Authority Groomer Report March 9, 2022

160 and 11s were groomed last night. It was cold. Trails are rated in good to excellent condition, ride slowly as low branches remain. Our road routes have a decent pack on them yet, so riding this weekend will be spectacular with even MORE fresh snow in the forecast. Groomers are rocking at night and continue to report downed and newly fallen trees from the ice storm. Please help our volunteer operators and pick up one branch off the trail for us!

Gogebic Area Groomers Report March 9, 2022

The ice storm over the weekend has taken a toll on trails in the Lake Gogebic Area.    After the ice storm on Saturday, 6+” of wet heavy snow on Sunday brought down a lot of branches and debris on the trails.   Groomers are out – and trails are in nice shape but some trails are not even groomed able due to brush.   The South end of Lake Gogebic area is being groomed right now and reported to be in good condition with the exception of a few wet spots – just have to watch for an overhanging brush.

U.P. Thunder Riders Trail Report March 9, 2022
