TRAIL REPORT

March 9, 22

*********Notice**********
Effective Monday March 14th our trail from the ferry to town will be closed for the remainder of the season! You can still trailer to the island and use the rest of our trail system though!
This closure is due to the property owner request and is out of our control! Thank you for your understanding!

The rain wasn’t to unkind to us. Our trails held up well. They now have a fresh few inches of snow on them.  We attempt to groom last night but had a major break down so we are down to one groomer now. The other one will head out tonight to finish up. Please be patient with us!
The logging areas of course are going to continue to be an issue. I would still stay away from the area between the Maxton plains and Glen Cove due to logging and log trucks plus there is standing water in the Maxton plains area.  If you do go in this area please keep in mind that you could see a log truck at any moment!l

The east end has a major logging operation on 493 near the Maxton plains/ NE loop for 8 miles. I would avoid this area altogether. You can go to Marblehead if you come and go from the other direction. There is also logging from Sheep Ranch Rd to Glen cove then to Sand Bay (roughly 7 miles).
