TRAIL REPORT

December 12, 2019

We are now in the process of getting our trails open. The day before Thanksgiving, there was a wet heavy snow storm that took down a lot of trees and really closed off the trails. We managed to get trail #16, #113 and Trail#2 from Crystal Falls to Iron River opened on Saturday, Nov. 30th. As of today those section have been groomed. There are wet areas on Trail #113 between Mastodon and Stager Lake Rd. you need to watch out for. Also on Trail #2 between Wagner Lake Rd. and Bates Gastra Rd.
Trail#16 to Sagola can not be opened until the swamps freeze and muzzleloader season ends on the 15th of this month. We still have work to do as far as clearing goes. From Sagola at M95 to Wells grade road, trail#16 will be closed due to logging, until the end of December.
Trail #111 and #18 from Crystal Falls to Amasa, then east to Republic still needs clearing and the swamps to freeze before we can groom. There is logging on trail #18, from Bradley Rd. to the Fence River, and will be closed until the end of the month. We still have a lot of work ahead of us to get done.

Our regular grooming days are as follows:
Trail #113 and Trail #2 From Crystal Falls South to The Brule River, then west to George Young Cut off: Groomed Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Trail #111 and #18 from Crystal Falls to Amasa then east to Republic; Groomed Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

We have lighted Trailhead parking and Port-a-Jons, at our Quanset Hut, located on M69 and trail #113 for your easy access to ride our trail system.
