Naubinway Engadine Area Trail Conditions report provided to you by the Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum. Visit their website at www.snowmobilemuseum.com
February 14, 2017
The trails in the Naubinway area are good this week. The groomer will be out on Tues and Thursday evenings this week. They are still working on the swampy areas. We did received more snow last week, so with the warmer weather yesterday and today, the snow is soft. There are still a couple wet spots, but the groomer put a trail around them and there is a detour in the Curtis area. Please stay on the trail!! If you are on the Curtis/Naubinway/Newberry trails this week, watch out for some rear-engine snowmobiles! There is a Rear-Engine Ride going on with 12 old snowmobiles. You will want to stop and take a picture of these guys!! They left from the Museum on Tuesday and will return Thursday afternoon.
While you're in the area, be sure to check out the Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum in Naubinway. The trail comes into Naubinway and follow the trail through Naubinway. You will drive in front of the new Museum, which opened in Oct. 2013. There is plenty of room to park your sleds and you can see a fantastic variety of sleds and memorabilia from the past. The regular hours are 9-5 pm all year. 906-477-6298. Admission: $5 for adult, Kids 16 & under - Free
