We received around 6 inches of snow on January 4th. All of our trails are in good condition and will continue to improve each time they are groomed.

We will have brushing crews out in the next couple of days trying to take care of some of these problematic areas. Please be cautious of these crews and if you don’t mind stop and lend a hand. The guys would greatly appreciate any help they can get.

As always, we are always looking for help with brushing and grooming operations. If anyone is interested, please send us a message and someone will respond shortly.

All three of our groomers went out on December 30th and managed to get most of our system groomed. Here is the status of each trail.

Trail 2 between Caspian and Watersmeet is in excellent condition and freshly groomed!

Trail 15 Between Iron River and Nelma, Wi has been groomed and in excellent condition.

Trail 116 has been groomed and in good condition but take caution to wet spots in the low land areas near the George Young Complex.

Trail 15 From Amvets Hwy to Trail 111 is in good condition and was cleared but be cautious of low-lying brush.

Trail 111 from the 15 intersection to Amasa was groomed last night and is good condition but there are a couple of minor wet spots.

Trail 15 from the 111 intersection to Sidnaw will be groomed tomorrow and we expect it to be in decent condition. Note that there is active logging in between Lake St Katherine and Lake on Three Road and there may be trucks hauling. Please travel slowly through this area and keep to the right side of the trail.

Trail 107 was freshly groomed last night and is in excellent condition, lots of snow! There is a section between FS Rd 4580 and the Jumbo River Falls that has some hanging brush.

We will be grooming all trails regularly from here on out and will have brushing crews out in the next couple of days trying to take care of some of these problematic areas. Please be cautious of these crews and if you don’t mind stop and lend a hand. The guys would greatly appreciate any help they can get.

Trail #15N to Sidnaw and Trail #111 to Amasa have been groomed again and with the new snow are both in good condition.  These trails will be groomed again on Friday of this week.

Trail #107 to Kenton continues to be the only trail being groomed.  The rest of the trail system is rideable with low snow conditions/no base.  We are watching incoming weather and hope we get enough snow to get the groomers out on the rest of the trails.  We did get a few inches of light fluffy snow this morning, but not enough to make a difference!!!

The snow in the town of Iron River is minimal but improves about 10 miles north on Trail #2.  The snow is light and fluffy with very little base.  We are not grooming the trails to the south due to low snow conditions.

The reroute is now done on Trail #107 and the gates are open for the regular trail into Kenton.

We do not have enough snow to groom as of January 13, 2025.  We do have 4″ to 6″ of light fluffy snow on the ground now.  Without a base we just do not have enough snow to groom yet!!! But it has been cold so hopefully the swamps are freezing up!!

Trail #107 to Kenton will have a reroute due to a logging job by Shane Creek.  This will affect the trail from the Shane Creek bridge into Kenton.   The trail will be rerouted on to the Golden Glow Road and will remain in effect until the end of January when the logger is done hauling.
