TRAIL REPORT
3/17/06 Sorry but there is no snow in the Iron Mountain Area. Trail gates have been closed for the season.

3/6/06 Wow were the trail great last weekend. If you didn't ride our trails you missed out on some great snowmobiling. Our trails are in great shape. Groomers are running around the clock, watch our for them. Iron Mountain received new snow today. About 1 to 2 inches. Temps are expected to warm later in the week. 35 Friday, 47 on Saturday. 36 on Sunday with rain and snow. Trails should be ok on Saturday and Sunday.

2/26/06  Great news. Iron Mountain got about 8 inches of show this weekend. I have not heard if grooming has started yet, but it should be soon. Trails have the fresh snow on them and a layer of ice underneath. My riding yesterday was slow, but once the groomers get running it should be good.

2/20/06  Due to the warm weather some trail gates have been closed. The gates were closed on the trail leading into Norway at Pollard's fields. The other trail gates remain open. Trails have limited snow. Weather in the 30's and bright sun have melted much of the snow.

2/13 More of the same for the Iron Mountain area. No snowfall in the last week. Sorry to report that the trails continue to be in poor condition.  Paved roads are bare, unpaved roads are loosing any snow or ice covering. Trail are ruff and have some bare spots.

2/7/07 The Iron Mountain area has not received any significant snow in the last week. The trails are in poor condition. If you are riding in the Iron Mountain area you will find the roads are bare, trails are rocky and ruff with some bare spots.

1/30/07 This is my normal day to update my trail reports. I try to get this done each Tuesday.

Another week has gone by with little or no snow. The Iron Mountain area has about 2 to 3 inches of snow on the ground. Trails are open, rough and no groomers are running. The trails have some bare spots. As more people are trying to ride them they are getting rougher.

Saturday and Sunday low temps are expected to be well below 0. Please be well prepared for the cold weather.
